Here we’ll discuss the basic diet plan for celiac disease as follows:

Early Morning

Start your day with a glass of warm water with fenugreek seed (1 tsp)

Breakfast 

Made a healthy, gluten-free breakfast. This may include besan pancakes, veg poha, veg sabudana, milk, curd, veg or dal, etc. 

Morning Snacks

Having a morning snack is the best way to keep yourself healthy, with some fruits, buttermilk (lassi), salad, green tea, etc. 

Lunch 

Having a nutritious lunch is the best option to keep yourself healthy and free from diseases. This may include chapatti, veg khichdi, besan roti, fried rice, veg dal + salad, etc. 

Evening Salad

You may include in the evening snacks herbal tea, fruit shakes, spouts, sago papad, veg or chicken soup (homemade), roasted chana, etc. 

Dinner

At the dinner time, it is best to have a light dinner. You may include chapati, besan roti, veg khichdi, veg pulav, salad, tofu cheese, and nutri nuggets.

List of Foods to Consume & Avoid 

Vegetables

  • Consumed – All fresh vegetables 
  • Avoided – Frozen vegetables, chips roasted potatoes, and cheese-filled snacks.

Fruits 

  •  Consumed – All fresh fruits
  • Avoided – Canned fruits, juices, and frozen fruits.

Dairy Products

  •  Consumed – Buttermilk, yogurt and skimmed milk
  • Avoided – Cheese slice, custard, cheese spread, whole milk, and condensed milk.

Pulses

  •  Consumed – All pulses and also legumes
  • Avoided – Dried and frozen pulses.

Spices

  •  Consumed – Coriander, cumin, sage, thyme, fenugreek. 
  • Avoided – Red chillies

Drinks 

  •  Consumed – All fresh fruits
  • Avoided – Instant tea, bourn vita, hot chocolate, cream-based liqueurs, packed soups, carbonated drinks, alcohol, squashes, flavored milk drinks, and energy boosters.

Dry fruits & Seeds

  • Consumed – All kinds of nuts and seeds such as cashews, flax seeds, almonds, etc. 
  • Avoided – nil

Oils 

  • Consumed – Mustard oil, Olive oil, cow ghee, soybean oil, rice bran oil, etc. 
  • Avoided – Palm oil

I highly recommend Dt. Priyanka and team. The diet plan they gave has done wonders for me and I witnessed results within 1 month. Post Covid I was diagnosed with diabetes and I tried all sorts of ayurvedic and allopathy treatments, however nothing worked for me. My fasting glucose had crossed 300 mg/dl which was alarming.
